[ there's no greeting but peter's gotten used to it, falling into step next to logan as he sends hank a quick text to tell him where he is. the same flutter of nervousness he gets whenever he's around logan settles once again in his stomach, palms already sweating where they're jammed in the pockets of his hoodie; peter thought that helping logan take care of his plants would make things easier somehow, but it hasn't really made much of a difference. ]
You wanted tomatoes, right? [ the crowd has thinned out since that morning, which gives him more room to jog ahead and poke around at each stall. ] The turtle's toward the end.
[ Logan doesn't give Peter much answer to his questions besides a nod of his head and a low 'mm', and by then he's already jogging way ahead of him. He doesn't look around at anything, keeping his eyes peeled for what he came for, and when he finds it he's quick to pick tomatoes up and give them sniffs of evaluation.
Most of the tomatoes he purchases go in a bag, but he keeps one for himself to bite into raw as he catches up to wherever Peter is now. ]
You find anything you like? [ It's spoken around a mouthful of tomato. ] Besides the turtle, I guess.
[ when logan comes back, peter is at the booth with the flower pots, already holding the turtle carefully in one hand. he's distracted with one display to notice logan at first, blinking up at him only after registering his voice. ]
... Hm? Oh. That was fast. [ he straightens up and hands a few bills to the owner, wrapping up the turtle with newspaper and shoving it in his pocket. there's a food truck parked near them that he makes his way towards. ] I'm good. Sandwich?
Yeah. [ Logan's head tilts slightly as he considers the turtle fitting in Peter's clothes, but he bites another third of the tomato as he follows Peter's lead.
He's popped the last of the tomato into his mouth when the menu's readable, and he glances from it to Peter with a thumb jabbed in its direction. ] You want anything here?
Gotta balance all those energy drinks out, Maximoff.
[ the turtle sticks out weirdly from his pocket but it's not like he really cares. he's more preoccupied with staring at the menu without wanting to get one of everything on it. life is hard when you're poor and in debt with a cat to feed. ]
I'm totally balanced. [ he's half paying attention to what logan is saying, rocking back and forth on his feet restlessly while making a mmm sound. eventually, ] Split something with me? Whatever you're gonna get.

[ That's a lie. He has a chapter of a biography to turn in by midnight, but it's not like Logan finds that especially difficult. ]

When he does, there's not even a greeting before Logan cocks his head towards the front doors, clearly expecting Peter to follow him. ]
Farmer's market first.

[ So he's going to order two sandwiches, both of them with chicken in it. The only real difference is the choice of vegetables and the dressing.
The first sandwich is placed in his tomato bag, and the other one is held Peter's way so he can rip half of it off.
(Though clearly Logan wouldn't mind if he took the whole damn thing.) ]
This one has cucumbers. [ His head tilts a few degrees to the side. ] You like those?
